The order of Supreme Court for CBI probe in fake encounter is victory of truth. The fake encounters of innocent Hindus and Muslims in Gujarat were done with evil motive. It was inhuman to kill small criminals like Sohrabuddin, Tusli Prajapati and Gopinath Pillai by branding them as terrorists. This was stated by the leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Shaktisinh Gohil.

The state had concocted the story that these people had taken training outside and came here to kill Chief Minister Narendra Modi. But people realized that this was done just to develop a sympathy wave for Modi and to garner votes, he said.

The decision of a CBI probe into the fake encounter is welcome. CBI is neither a Gujarat government agency nor a central government agency. Its impartial probe will get people justice, Gohil said.

The Honourable Supreme Court would not have ordered CBI probe had the Gujarat government not acted like criminal. The state government had initially given the investigation to Geeta Johri but later on it was taken away from her and Rajnish Rai was asked to probe into the case. The state had even filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court in this regard stating that an officer who has inquired into the matter cannot investigate into the same case. Rai, who is an honest and upright officer started probe in an impartial manner which shook the government and going against its own affidavit the probe was handed back to Johri.

Due to this The Gujarat government was exposed before the Supreme Court and the court has taken suitable action to hand over the case to CBI. Gohil observed.
