I love India

On the occasion of our republic day, I was thinking,

India is such a wonderful country.

Our constitution is so very unique. Of course, it would be my hypocrisy to say that “AAAL is Well” as per the Indian Constitution. No, still we do have untouchability, we do have discrimination but we are trying and evolving as a real democracy.

Here is our pre amble.

WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:

JUSTICE, social, economic and political;

LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;

EQUALITY of status and of opportunity;

and to promote among them all

FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;

Original; 1949. Preamble to The Constitution of India

(  Original; 1949. Preamble to The Constitution of India;  By 42nd Amendment; 1976  the words SOCIALIST and SECULAR were inserted in this amendment)

Well, it hurt me to today. Modi taking out a Sanvidhan Yatra is a mockery of Indian Constitution. He has abused the Indian Constitution with his action so many times.

Does he believe and practice JUSTICE, LIBERTY, EQUALITY and FRATERNITY?

The Preamble seeks to establish what Mahatma Gandhi described as The India of my Dreams, “…an India in which the poorest shall feel that it is their country in whose making they have an effective voice; …an India in which all communities shall live in perfect harmony. There can be no room in such an India for the curse of untouchability or the curse of Intoxicating drinks and drugs. Women will enjoy as the same rights as man.”

But preaching before practicing and showing off is what Modi excels in . So, he took out a Sanvidhan Yatra. Big Show and No Substance.

I am in Delhi and I am glad that media has taken note of Modi’s yatra and all over the world and Internet; the catchy headline is Modi takes Indian Constitution on a “Royal Ride”.

How apt. He indeed does that prompting the Supreme Court and others to intervene.

Happy Republic Day to all proud Indians and lets work towards restoring democracy in Gujarat and freeing Gujarat from a megalomaniac DICTATOR.
